The ONT plays an essential role in supporting the implementation of the WHO resolutions WHA57.18 and the WHA63.22 with regard to the collection and analysis of global data on the practices of donation and transplantation of human cells, tissues and organs.

The current work plan as a WHO Collaborating Center includes the following core activities:

To maintain and improve, in collaboration with WHO, the Global Observatory on Donation and Transplantation (GODT) website, enabling data collection, analysis, communication and dissemination of data and information.
To provide advice and technical support to WHO and Member States on technical issues.
To contribute to a common global attitude to transplantation.
